Hey guys, Blake here…not my real name but just call me Blake. I’m a 13 year old almost a 14 year old tomboy, who’s parents mostly my mom doesn’t like tomboys since she probably thinks we’re acting like a guy…and at school I have tons of friends so there’s no bullying and I’m very popular. And so I ask my mom, “Mom, why is being a tomboy bad?” And she tells me,”Because you’re a girl not a guy.” Sometimes I wonder why can’t we wear want we want to wear because it’s our choice. My mom always tries to make me wear dresses or skirts but when I say no way, she always asked me why not and I’m always like because I hate wearing them..she even thinks some tomboys are gay or lesbian but I’m a straight what can I do to make sure she doesn’t make wear those girly outfits? Because I can’t tell her I am a tomboy or else she’ll explode. Thank you for reading this! 😀 It means a lot to Blake here!
Sup, Blake. The last time I wore a dress was when I was in grade 6 leavers’ disco (leaving elementary school to go onto high school) since then I wore hoodies and sneakers and refused to wear any summer dresses. Nice reading your story. 😉
I’m a tomboy to but I don’t know how to tell my friends I am and I want to wear trousers to school but all my friends are used to seeing me in a skirt and I’m scared they will make fun of me and not be my friends any more.any advice?:-)
Ignore your friends comments. If they push your last button, then stand firm in your beliefs. Be tough!
I know how you feel
If your mom continues this, be tough with her. But otherwise, don’t listen to her. You’re cool🍦
